Bloodletters on Juggernauts

I finished some more bloodletters.  I have a few more to finish up but here they are so far.

Blood Slaughterers

I picked up 2 more Blood Slaughterer for my khorne daemonkin.  I actually use them as mauler fiends because I can't stand the real models








They will be joining my existing Blood Slaughterer

With my Decimator, Brass Scorpion, and Contemptor my khorne daemon engines are coming along nicely.

Nurgle Daemons

The khorne daemonkin list got me thinking about my nurgle army.  So I wrote up a "nurgle daemonkin" list.  It's really just CSM allied with Choase Daemons but it's got the same unit types and composition as the khorne daemonkin list and none of the special rules.  Still, its a fun list to play so I decided to take a break from painting red and get the nurgle daemons painted up.

I plan to add another 5 plague bearers to each unit soon.  I'll probably actually run them as 14 plague bearers to be fluffy. :)

Started on some plague daemons

The khorne daemonkin has reignited my interest in all things chaos.  I wrote up a nurgle daemonkin army last week and played it and it was pretty fun.  Essentially I followed the khorne daemonkin layout for the army.  I used chaos daemons for the army and chaos space marines as allies.    I did not adjust any rules though.

I had picked up the new GW color Blood for the Blood God.  It's very similar to the clear red Tamiya color often used for gore.

Khorne Daemonkin Lord on Juggernaut

The CSM Lord on a Jugger is really a tough character in the khorne daemonkin codex.  Riding with blood crushers or spawn gives him plenty of protection and they are really fast.  I wanted to make a model for the character.  I bought a box of WFB skull crushers to use.  I would call this a conversion because I really didn't do anything to it.  I just swap out a few items to make him look slightly less fantasy and slight more sci-fi.  Its nothing fancy but it was quite and easy and will serve the purpose I set out for.  Once he's painted up he should fit in nicely with the rest of the murderous band of homicides.

I also took this pic with my phone so its a bit crappy.  I'll get some better ones once the painted has been started.

Kromlech Herald of Nurgle

Since I was painting a bunch of nurgle stuff I figured I would slip this fellow in the queue.  He's a lovely figure with lots of character and open wounds.  My wife really hates all the nurgle stuff I paint and my sons ask me why I always paint the ugly guys. :)  I guess they are just more fun...

Plagues for the Plague God

These are some other models I started years ago and then set aside.  Well, I decided to finish them up in anticipation of a nurgle daemonkin book; fingers crossed...

Thoughts on Juggernaught paint scheme

I wanted to get my blood crushers painted up and was shooting for a different scheme that normal.  What do you think of the black with red highlights?  I'm not sure i like it or not.

FW Gal Vorbak Possesed Marines

These are some of the nicest minis FW has released in my opinion.  They harken back to first edition Chaos Marines where each figure was as unique as the last.  These were a lot of fun to paint and  I use them every chance I get.

Maxmini Plaguebringer

I picked up the Maxmini Plaguebringer when I ordered the Rotten Puppets. He's a great figure! I love all the detail, the pose, very menacing. He would work great as a herald of Nurgle or a Nurgle lord. This pic shows him with the traitor guard and the rotton puppets to give a good scale pic.

I picked up some Maxmini Rotten puppets to see how the would work as nurglings or lesser daemons. I rally like them, they have a lot of character and a variety of sizes. Here's a couple of pics with traitor guard to get an idea of scale.

Chaos Daemons - Old school Blood Letters

Had these figures since they first came out. They are the only figures I still have from way back when. Well, them and 10 OOP flesh hounds as well.
